Scottish radio DJLynne Hoggan was rushed to hospital for major surgery after suffering a 'sizeable bleed on her brain'.
Lynne presents shows on Clyde 1, Forth 1, Tay FM, Northsound 1 and MFR.
She is currently recovering in hospital after having stents put into her brain when doctors found two aneurysms and bleeds on the brain.
After surgery and having stents put in, relatives say she still has a "long way to go" in hospital while she focuses on recovering.
A statement on her Instagram from her family member read: 'Lynne still has a long way to go and will be in hospital for a while and is unable to communicate properly at the moment whilst she is recovering.
'She appreciates all the love and support and will be in touch with all the individuals who have reached out to her once she is better.

A second update added: 'A little life update- from Lynnes sister-in-law Rachel (as instructed by Lynne herself).
'Appreciate a lot of you have been messaging Lynne and wondering where she has been lately.
'Unfortunately, a week ago, she took unwell and it turned out to be a sizeable bleed on the brain which was 2 aneurysms.
'She has now had surgery and stents put in her brain and is recovering in the best care possible.'
An aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel caused by a weakness in the blood vessel wall, usually where it branches.
As blood passes through the weakened blood vessel, the blood pressure causes a small area to bulge outwards like a balloon.

What is a brainaneurysm?
A brain aneurysm is a bulge or ballooning blood vessel.
This can leak, causing bleeding in the brain, which can be life threatening.
Symptoms of a ruptured aneurysm include:
- Sudden, severe headache
- Nausea and vomiting
- Stiff neck
- Blurred or double vision
- Sensitivity to light
- Seizure
- Drooping eyelid
- Confusion
- Loss of consciousness
An unruptured aneurysm may not have any symptoms and could not require treatment.
The causes of brain aneurysms are often unclear.
Risk factors include high blood pressure, smoking, heavy drinking and old age.
Treatment may include surgery or medication to restore blood flow and relieve pain.
